About Us

Hi! My name is Lindsay and I'm the mom behind Hay & Fin.

When my daughter started solids at six months old, I was overwhelmed and struggling. One of the first things I noticed was that food was constantly dropping right past all our bibs and smocks, and landing right on the neckline of every shirt. No matter what I tried, nothing could stop the food from ending up on her shirts and leaving behind stain, after stain.

Removing clothing wasn't an option for us because her skin was so sensitive, she would break out in a rash from contact with the food and the high chair straps. So, before every meal I would change my hangry baby into clothing I didn't care about, undershirts that were already stained, just so she could stain them more. Meals continued to be a huge mess, both figuratively and literally.

One day, ahead of plans to grab lunch with family at a restaurant, my mom asked me what outfit my daughter would be wearing - and I nearly cried. What could she wear that I was willing to see destroyed with neckline stains? My brain was spinning. I said to myself: there has to be a better way!

After thinking about it nonstop for days, I finally had a lightbulb idea. I ran upstairs to pull out my sewing machine and old fabric from fashion school, traced one of my daughter's onesies, cut out my very first, very rough prototype and returned to the kitchen - and it actually worked. The Bibbler was born.

When I made my first Bibbler, I had absolutely no intention of producing or selling them. I had only wanted to solve my own problem, but when I thought about how other parents were probably suffering from the same issue, I knew it was the right thing. I knew I wanted Bibblers to help other parents the way they helped me. Not only did Bibblers offer me peace of mind, but they gave me the confidence I desperately needed going into mealtimes. And now, Bibblers are here to do the same for you.

Starting solids is messy enough, let the Bibbler take stains off your plate.

xoxo, Lindsay
